With the AWD (Agency Workers’ Directive) continuing to cause confusion and mild panic throughout the Recruitment industry, Kinetic took the opportunity to dispel the myths of the impending legislation for its clients. .

Utilising Neil Smith’s (Kinetic M.D) relationship with the R.E.C, Kinetic arranged for Kevin Green (CEO of the R.E.C) to deliver a complimentary seminar at The Lowry Theatre, Manchester on 12th November. The seminar was attended by H.R representatives from key clients, including Sanofi Aventis, Cargill, A.B Pennine and Kimberley Clark Ltd.

Kevin shared the Recruitment industry's views on the AWD and following a highly informative presentation, he then ran an engaging Q & A session, covering key AWD factors such as; the current state of play with the legislation, on-going Government consultation and implementation and the R.E.C’s objectives from now through to 2011 and beyond. His in-depth analysis of the practical, political, legal and employer perspectives was invaluable for Kinetic’s clients, whereby they left with key action points to implement within their respective businesses.

Instigated by the success of this event and an apparent lack of knowledge about the AWD legislation within organisations, Kinetic has been out visiting additional clients to discuss the topic on a one-on-one basis. Kevin will return later next year to deliver another seminar, detailing further progress and updates with the AWD.
