Head of Production (Enablement / Transformation)

Kinetic are seeking to recruit an experienced Head of Production (Enablement/Transformation) for a permanent role with a Global business in the Preston area! Head of Production (Enablement/Transformation) Location: Blackburn/Preston Salary: £85,000 - £95,000 Bonus: 15%, Company Car Allowance (£680 pcm), Private Health Care Work Hours: Monday - Friday (Flexible) Reports: Management team, 1 Direct and 7 Indirect Sr Report: Production Director International Scope: Some overseas correspondence Travel: Occasional Experience Level: Degree qualified, more experience the better Type of experience: Large business (MNC's), complex manufacturing (automotive, aerospace, automation, OEM etc.), culturally similar Requirements and Responsibilities: * Production Facility Enablement and Readiness - comprehensive approach to preparing production facilities to optimise output and for future operations (oversee safety, training, full maintenance etc.) * Deputise for the Production Director - oversee daily decision making, ensure production facility is running to optimal efficiency, coordinate with other departments, handle any emergencies or unexpected scenarios * Manufacturing expertise and Project Management - in depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, planning and executing OPEX and CAPEX projects, collaborating with and leading cross-functional teams * CI and Transformation Projects - lead CI projects and identify areas of improvement where the facility can be better equipped for transformation * Awareness of LSS/Kaizen, more of a focus on transformation and enablement * Important to have experience in getting more out of a production process by spending less - analyse the production process, implement efficiency improvements and negotiate new deals with suppliers (new and existing) * Customer interface * Day to Day communication with shop floor, management and directors - maintain regular communication with employees of every level to ensure an overall happy facility * Communicate at board level If you are looking for a new opportunity, and feel you have the skills and experience please apply below!
