Our client, a precision engineering company based in the East Manchester area (near Hyde), require a Quality Manager to manage quality procedures and standards. This is a permanent role on days paying between 36-40k per annum. The role will need experience of ISO 9001 and ideally knowledge of Health & Safety procedures. Duties will include: *Oversee the day to day requirements of their quality dept and systems and drive positive quality culture within the business. *Strengthen quality procedures so reworks and returned are minimised. *Raise and report non-conformance reports. *Carry out root cause analysis to identify improvements to production processes. *Manage customer queries and suggest corrective actions for failed components. *Manage internal audit process and familiarity with ISO9001 for external audits. *Oversee risks and opportunities relating to production. *Implement & maintain the quality accreditations and product approvals. *Carry our inspections to ensure quality standards being adhered to. Experience required: *Previous experience of managing a quality department within a precision engineering environment including identifying key KPIs, audit processes, root cause analysis, SOPs etc. *HND in Mechanical Engineering. *ISO9001 regs & audit knowledge. *Understanding of machining concepts and CNC processes. *Management experience. *H&S knowledge & ideally IOSH or NEBOSH. *Customer facing experience If you feel you are well suited to the Quality Manager position, please apply with your full updated CV.
