IT SUPPORT & SYSTEM ADMIN ADVISOR

We are recruiting for an individual to work for Kinetic plc at our Head office in Stretford (Manchester) and join the Kinetic family. Main responsibilities are to ensure the smooth running of the IT service used by our 60 business users to support their specific job functions providing technical support and advice. The Role: Provide windows 7/10 desktop support & service to all internal customers/users (60 users in total) through information gathering, defining issues, analysing the symptoms and understanding what the customer/user is trying to accomplish. Taking responsibility throughout the entire life-cycle working with other internal teams and external third-parties as appropriate Record information accurately and methodically on tracking/logging system Must be able to resolve issues under pressure with minimum involvement from 3rd party providers. Perform daily tasks and checks in a methodical manner to ensure all scheduled activities complete successfully. Working towards preventing future incidents by fixing any underlying root causes. To deliver all aspects of IT service including system administration, maintenance and project management. To manage the relationship with 3rd party providers and ensure our systems integrity is maintained at all times. The Person: Must have previous experience of being responsible for the day-to-day support of a broad range of windows based desktop applications including Word, Excel and Outlook from a user and back office perspective is essential. Preferably possess formal IT qualifications Ability to provide a generalised Help Desk service to customers/users which includes giving advice, providing training and producing how-to documentation Must have flexibility to work out of hours where required to minimise downtime during standard working hours. Must be conscious and deliberate with planning and using standardised procedures. Ability to define, implement and run pro-active and routine maintenance for activities covered by specific job role. Preferable to possess a working knowledge/experience of IT system administration using current Windows Server, SQL Server and Exchange Server version and supporting formal certification. Preferably have knowledge of VOIP Telephony Preferably possess a full driving licence The standard hours of work will be 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday, with flexibility to work out of hours.
