Electrical Fitter

My client is looking for an experienced Electrical Fitter to join an innovative, established business on an ongoing temporary basis based in Sunderland. This placement will be between 6 to 12 months. Package - * Standard rate is £17.29 per hour * Overtime rate at £25.94 per hour * Monday to Thursday 08:00 until 16:30 Friday 08:00 until 13:00 * 25 days holiday increasing year on year Key Responsibilities - * Install electrical containment systems including cable tray, basket, trunking, and conduit in line with layout drawings and specifications. * Measure, cut, assemble, and securely fit cable tray and conduit systems. * Pull and route electrical cables through containment systems while ensuring cable integrity and correct identification. * Carry out wiring and termination of electrical cables to panels, distribution boards, equipment, and field devices. * Ensure all terminations are completed to a high standard using correct tools, glands, and lugs. * Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and installation layouts. * Conduct basic testing and continuity checks where required. Required experience - * Proven experience in electrical installation work on commercial, industrial, or construction projects. * Demonstrable experience installing cable tray and conduit systems. * Experience pulling electrical cables through containment systems. * Strong experience in wiring and terminating electrical cables. * Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation. * Competence using electrical tools and installation equipment.
