Mechanical Tool Setter/Fitter


Position: Mechanical Tool Setter/Fitter Commutable From: Northwich, Wilmslow, Knutsford, Warrington, Altrincham, Sale, Congleton, Macclesfield & Winsford. Hours: Days 8am - 4pm Duration: Permanent Salary: £20,000 - 25,000 DOE Kinetic are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Tool Setter/Fitter to work for our client based in the East Cheshire area. You will be given the opportunity to join a professional company, a settled engineering team, and to help develop and grow the business. Duties will involve carrying out tool changes on high speed production machinery, usually 2 changes a day. You DO NOT need to be a qualified engineer to be considered for this role. When not carrying out tool changes, you will be involved in other mechanical duties. These will include maintenance, fitting and you will be given the opportunity to learn other aspects within the business, including machining, fabrication etc. Duties: *Tool change: Exchanging the moulds, punches and dies within their production machinery. *Setting up tools to the correct parameters. *Adjusting mechanical and computer settings to produce products to correct standards. *Inspect and maintain machinery to keep in good running order. *Maintain and repair mechanical, pneumatic and motor-driven factory equipment. Essential Skills & Experience: *Highly skilled in mechanical maintenance and fitting. *Able to use workshop machinery and hand tools. *Mechanical/shopfloor/manufacturing experience. Desirable but not essential: *Experience working on automated factory machinery. *Fabrication, welding, sheet metal. *Machining (turning/milling). Summary: This role would suit someone who is starting out in their career, as the client can provide training in certain areas of engineering and their company machinery. You will be working in a small team for a well-established company who has been in operation for over 30 years.
