Elgamill CNC Programmer Operator

Kinetic Skills & Trades are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Elgamill (Bed Type) CNC Milling Programmer/Operator for a permanent position based in Swansea area. The position is on DAYS paying £14.60/hr (circa 30k per annum) with plenty of Overtime available at T1/2 and double time. Basic salary equivalent to £29,608 per annum + OT. Hours: Basic 39hrs Monday to Thursday 8.00-4.30 Friday 7.00-2.00 Overtime is usually available at time and one half. Qualification, Knowledge, Skill, Aptitude, Experience Required include: Key Duties/Experience required: * Good understanding of CNC Programming, ideally with Heidenhain controls. * Experience of working on large scale components up to 3-4 meters in length on 8-12 meter beds. * Loading and Unloading Machining fixtures & able to work to tight tolerances. * Using measuring equipment such as micrometres, Vernier's, plug gauges, screw gauges, ring gauges. * A good understanding of drawings and geometric tolerances. * Good understanding of engineering drawings. Other: * Hardworking, enthusiastic, flexible, team player who is also able to use their own initiative & is a self-starter. * Able to follow Work Instructions/Standard Operating Procedures. * Open to working shift patterns of days and nights. * Able to work unsupervised. * Able to work in high pressure manufacturing environment.
