Band Saw Operative

Kinetic Industrial are recruiting a Band Saw Operative for a client based in Sandbach, Cheshire. As a Band Saw Operative, you will be responsible for cutting steel to precise measurements for the production of gate frames. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a temporary to permanent position, working Monday to Thursday 6:45am to 5pm, and Friday 6:45am to 1:30pm Responsibilities: * Operate band saw to cut box section steel according to specifications * Operate pillar drill and angle grinder to finish product after cutting * Ensure all cuts are accurate and meet quality standards * Read and interpret technical drawing and measurements * Maintain and perform routine checks on band saw equipment * Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area * Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines Requirements: * Previous experience operating a band saw or similar machinery is essential * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements * Overhead crane license is desirable but not essential * Strong attention to detail * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment * Excellent communication skills Benefits: * £12.60 per hour, with a weekly bonus (provided targets are met) * Permanent position after 12 weeks * Progression opportunities * Company lunch provided each day Kinetic plc is a Recruitment Consultancy with over 40 years of experience of delivering staffing solutions to the engineering, manufacturing and technical industries.
