Stores & Despatch Operative

Stores & Despatch Operative required to join an established engineering company manufacturing pipe spools and plant rooms. You'll handle goods in/out, stock control, prepare finished products for dispatch and monitor Health & Safety Location: Morley, Leeds Pay: £14.00-£14.80 per hour + overtime DOE Hours: Mon-Thu, 07:00-17:30 (42 paid hours, breaks included). Overtime available Fridays at time-and-a-half Status: Temp-to-Perm (26 weeks) Benefits: 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, pension Stores & Despatch Operative Key Responsibilities: * Booking in and checking materials using computer systems * Loading/unloading vehicles and manual handling * Stock taking and basic inspection of goods * Packing and preparing pipe spools for dispatch * Driving company vehicle for collections/deliveries * General workshop duties (cleaning, tidying, occasional painting) * Carry out basic checks and maintenance of machines and equipment * Report any faults or safety issues & follow all health & safety rules and procedures Stores & Despatch Operative Skills & Experience: * Full UK driving licence - essential * Basic computer skills (training provided) * FLT Counterbalance licence desirable (training available) * Knowledge of pipes/pipe fittings advantageous * Physically fit with good communication skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * A good and demonstrable understanding of Health & Safety * Combi or overhead crane licence a bonus If you are an experienced Stores & Despatch Operative with a current driving licence and a good understanding of Health & Safety 'APPLY' now!
