Metal Worker (Fettler) *WE NEED 4x ASAP!* Join a growing engineering and fabrication business as a Metal Worker working only 4days Monday to Friday, full time hours! We specialise in bespoke structural projects and offer excellent benefits including pension contributions, 33 days holiday, private healthcare and a supportive team environment. As a Metal Worker, you will prepare and finish fabricated steel components to meet high quality standards. This includes grinding, fettling, cutting, and cleaning carbon steel welded products, ensuring all parts are ready for assembly or dispatch. Location: WF1 Pay: £14.63 per hour 37.5 standard hours: Mon-Wed 07:00-17:00, Thu 07:00-16:30 (Fri overtime at time and a half) Contract: Possibility to lead perm after initial temp 3month period where project grows Key Responsibilities *Fettling and finishing steel components, removing sharp edges and imperfections. *Grinding, cutting, and trimming steel sections using hand tools and machinery. *Cleaning and gauging welded products for smooth surfaces and accurate dimensions. *Reading and interpreting technical drawings. *Performing quality checks and maintaining health & safety compliance. *Working closely with welders, fabricators, and engineers to meet deadlines. Skills & Experience *Previous experience as a Metal Worker, Fettler, or similar role. *Confident using hand grinders, polishers and oxy-acetylene equipment. *Knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes. *Ability to read engineering drawings and deliver high-quality finishes. *Openness to be trained on Robot Welder machines if required. *Physically fit for manual handling and workshop tasks. ________________________________________ Why Apply?
