Electronic Test Engineer

Electronic Test Engineer, Deeside, Flintshire, Salary D.O.E
Our client is looking to add to their team with an electronic test engineer for their modern facility in Flintshire, North Wales.
You will work within a small team as part of the wider production staff, The Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all Company products and systems are tested to the required company standards and quality procedures.
This role requires contact with various stakeholders within the business and is an essential component in ensuring that the Company delivers quality products to its customers.
Testing of Company products / printed circuit boards (PCB) to complete systems
Using a variety of testing methods and procedures using bespoke test rigs and project documentation
Repair of company printed circuit boards to component level
Design of bespoke test rigs
Soldering and removal of components to/from printed circuit boards
Ensuring all paperwork is signed off and records updated in the Company's ERP system
Contributing to improvements in product design and to manufacturing processes through practical feedback and new ideas
Reading and interpreting schematic and wiring diagrams
Diagnosing product faults
Writing test procedures
Essential Knowledge
HND/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience in a related industry
An appreciation and knowledge of safety rules and procedures
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Word and Excel
Experience in an electrical/electronic production assembly environment
Experience of digital/analogue hardware techniques and fault-finding procedures
Experience in writing and developing test processes and procedures
Use of test and measurement equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscope, signal generator
Experience of testing and repairing PCBs involving conventional and SMT components
Transmission & Distribution (T&D)
Electricity Supply Industry (ESI)
SCADA/Security/CCTV/Mobilising/Industrial Controls experience
Experience of working within a LEAN/5S manufacturing environment
