We're seeking a proactive and experienced Quality Team Leader to oversee quality operations on an initial temporary contract, with a view to being offered a permanent role after a probationary period. This is an exciting opportunity to join a project from the get-go and play a key role in driving continuous improvement, ensuring compliance, and upholding the highest standards in product and process quality.
You will lead all quality activities ensuring products meet standards during production before being released to the customer. You will monitor and coordinate corrective and preventative actions to drive and embed a culture of ongoing quality improvement
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all Operational Quality Control activities within the Service area.
Ensure compliance with established Quality acceptance standards and protocols.
Develop, maintain, and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to support ongoing development.
Lead and coordinate all internal and external (customer) audits.
Build and enhance Quality-related skills and competencies across the Service function.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer Quality concerns and communications.
Ensure all in-process operations meet required quality standards; investigate and resolve deviations and non-conformances.
Perform Quality Control inspections on products to ensure compliance with specifications.
Manage Non-Conformance Process (NCP) reporting, tracking, and resolution.
Support the development of manufacturing methods by providing timely and accurate Quality input.
Promote and integrate Lean, continuous improvement, Health & Safety, and environmental initiatives within Quality processes.
Operate in alignment with all relevant company policies and procedures.
Provide Quality leadership, including work allocation and resource management, across the Service area.
Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to work practices and Quality processes.
Assess supplier Quality requirements and collaborate with Procurement, Quality Management, and Engineering teams as needed.
Take full responsibility for the calibration of tools and equipment used within Quality operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
HND in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 5 years experience in a relevant manufacturing environment with a good understanding of key component features.
Proficient in the use of mechanical and or CMM inspection equipment.
Good communication and teamwork skills with a minimum of 2 years people management
experience.
Computer literate.
Working hours: Monday - Friday (37 hours per week) Dayshift
