CNC Miller/Horizontal Borer


Our client based in Oldham, require an experienced CNC Miller or CNC Horizontal Borer with experience of working within the heavy engineering sector. Working for a well established company in the area, our client is looking for experienced machinists who can fully programme working on producing components for the oil and gas and nuclear sectors. The role will require the following skills/experience; 1. Ideally be apprentice trained as a CNC Miller/Horizontal Borer and come from a heavy engineering background such as Nuclear or Oil & Gas. 2. Must be able to read and be fully conversant with technical engineering drawings. 3. Ideally be able to programme or set and operate using Heidenhain based controls. 4. Have experience of working one-offs and some batch runs. 5. Must have previously worked to tight tolerances. This is a permanent contract and you will sign a contract with the company. Rate of pay: £14-15.50 an hour + shift allowance with occasional overtime.
