Role: CNC Horizontal Borer Salary: Days or Shifts Basic Upto £37,480 (shift premiums vary see below) Benefits include 36 Days holiday (inc bank hols) paid medical appointments, pension, life assurance Working Hours: Days/ Various shifts Available - shown below Location: Shipley, Bingley, Keighley CNC Horizontal Borer required to work in Machine Shop of an established precision engineering group offering excellent holidays of 36 days, awesome Pension (upto 12.5% shared contributions) Health packages, Life assurance (5x salary) Subsidised canteen, Free secure parking, High Street discount benefits, sickness benefits, other great paid leave options (maternity, paternity, adoption etc) CNC Horizontal Borer role responsibilities and duties: CNC Horizontal Boring (or Universal Milling) Setting Operating CNC multi axis machines Control panel experience on Siemens 840D or Fanuc ideal (would consider others like Heidenhain, Mazak, Haas etc) Producing complex precision machined components to strict deadlines Working with 1offs, 4offs to 20offs (small batch work) Manual machining on centre lathes (MCLT), Huron milling machines; eg. Milling, turning, drilling, boring, tapping and screw-cutting on the centre lathe. Set operate and edit existing CNC programs (Good Setter Operators will be considered) Full fruition manufacturing process experience; working in machine shop from completion through to delivery. All other machine shop skills such as saws, files, dress As a CNC Horizontal Borer you must: Be Apprenticeship trained/ Time Served machining engineer Have a strong understanding of engineering drawings and working to tight/ extreme tolerances Have skills and experience using all hand-held measuring tools and gauges Working from complex engineering drawings and be able to work alongside Editors/ Programmers The successfully selected CNC Horizontal Borer will: Offer flexibility to working shifts where required to fulfil business needs Have good communication skills Be a strong team player and able to work under own initiative Ability to plan workload to ensure targets and KPIs are achieved Follow all Health and Safety Rules and Guidelines (Ideally but not essential) Prior experience screw cutting due to the product complexity Any other general maintenance machine shop duties expected Shifts available: Days - Monday to Thursday 07:45 to 16:30, Friday 07:45 to 12:30 on training then Flexibility to rotate/ cover where required: Early - Monday to Thursday 06:00 to 14:00, Friday 06:00 to 13:30 10% shift allowance Mid - Monday to Thursday 12:00 to 22:00, Friday 14:00 to 24:00 20% shift allowance Late - Monday to Thursday 14:00 to 24:00 20% shift allowance Nights - Monday to Wednesday 21:15 to 08:00, Thursday 21:15 to 05:00 33.3% shift allowance Location commutable from Skipton, Keighley, Silsden, Otley, Halifax, Bingley, Shipley, Nelson, Colne, Barnoldswick, Bradford Candidates who have worked in the following roles will be considered: Horizontal Borers, Universal Millers, Borer Grinders, Vertical Borers, If you are an experienced CNC Horizontal Borer, press APPLY now to be considered for this great opportunity with an established, global precision company.
