Shift Cover Engineer

Job Overview *Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance strategy, systems, processes and procedures to improve equipment reliability *Assist in the development, application and reporting on appropriate maintenance performance measures. *Assist in the development of maintenance plans as part of the yearly planning process. *Assist in the development of maintenance and operations skill levels to promote cross-skilling and improved equipment utilisation effectiveness. *Participates in the development and implementation of preventative and predictive maintenance programs. *Minimisation of unscheduled equipment downtime and time to repair. *Involved in the engineering, installation, commissioning and handover of new projects. *Use of planning and scheduling systems to improve the efficiency of maintenance operations *Assist with Plan and organise work on allocated improvement projects and for the week ahead. *Use of the purchasing and stores system to complete work requirements. *Identify equipment issues and advise on work needed and opportunities for improvement. *Responsible for preventing reoccurrence of equipment failures by root cause analysis and initiating solutions ensuring OEE improvements. *Tracking and reporting of compliance to daily maintenance plans. *Identification and implementation of recovery plans when work is behind schedule. *Personal operation of plant, process or equipment systems as necessary to maintain and optimise work quality, safety and throughput of the team. *Work in conjunction with Production in efficiently completing all necessary maintenance and changeover activities within agreed timeframes. *Assists in a process of operator upskilling to take on tasks of lubrication, changeovers, audits, inspections and repairs *Implementation and monitoring of equipment pre-start check systems.
