Field Service Engineer

Kinetic are currently assisting a Medical Device Manufacturer - who have been in the industry in excess of 30 years - with recruiting a Field Service Engineer to be working in and around the Reading area. The Field service Engineer will carry out routine service and repair visits, compile reports, and provide the first line of contact with the customer. They will be expected to provide the highest level of customer service with a sales-minded attitude while developing lasting customer relationships. The successful candidate will Report directly to the Service Manager and will be based in and around the Reading area. Duties and Responsibilities of the Filed Service Engineer * Identifying and meeting customer needs within the allotted geographical area * Liaising with the team of service engineers and planning their diary in line with customer expectations. * Perform routine maintenance and repair of products * Maintaining vehicle stock levels to enable effective and efficient servicing of equipment and provide * Providing accurate diagnosis and reporting on a job to job basis via a live based electronic service management software package (CRM), feeding back all required information * Handle customers in a professional manner * Work with other departments * Understanding customers' needs with respect to Service deliverables. * Identifying and forwarding sales opportunities to internal sales teams on a continuing basis in line with company procedures The skills and Qualifications needed are: * At least 3 years' experience of servicing equipment in a customer facing environment * Have experience of service delivery software (Sage 200 /Microsoft Dynamics) * A formal qualification in an electro-mechanical engineering discipline * Excellent fault diagnosis and analytical skills * Ability to communicate well with customers and colleagues on all levels * Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility to ensure the company delivers its commitments * HTM2010/HTM2030 experience would be beneficial * Highly self-motivated and Professional at all times. * Customer Focused * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. * Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask. * Excellent time keeping and punctuality * Industry Knowledge would be an advantage * Self-motivated with first-class time management capability * Full UK Driving licence You will benefit from the following: * £30,000 p.a. (dependent on experience) * Permanent position from the start Full time, 37.5 hours per week * 08:30 - 17:00 (37.5 hours per week * Company vehicle, Laptop, Tablet and mobile phone. * 25 days annual leave plus Bank Hols * Pension scheme * Maximum radius of operation will be 80 miles from your home; however the company may require this to be extended on the odd occasion.
