MIG Welder

MIG Welder required for a PERMANENT role working direct with a well-established manufacturer producing machinery and components in the agricultural sector used across the UK. Excellent company pension, plenty of T+1/2 overtime. Pay: £33,280 salary basic. (£16ph, could be more for the right person!) This is a hands-on, shop based role offering long-term stability, structured hours and the opportunity to work on essential machinery for farming equipment; with most work carried out using jigs for consistency and quality! Working Hours & Benefits: *Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (40 hours) *30 minute paid break + 30 minute unpaid lunch *T+1/2 overtime available *Permanent, stable employment *Company pension *28days holiday per year *Supportive team environment The Role: MIG Welder You will be responsible for MIG welding agricultural components such as machinery parts and field/ farming related agricultural equipment, working predominantly with mild (carbon) steel. Most work is carried out using jigs, ensuring efficiency, repeatability and high-quality output. Key Responsibilities as MIG Welder: * MIG welding carbon (mild) steel components * Working with material thicknesses from 2mm to 20mm * Completing Butt and T - fillet welds to a high standard * Manufacturing agricultural components * Working predominantly with jig-based setups * Inspecting completed welds and fabrications for quality * Maintaining a safe and organised working area What We're Looking for in the successful MIG Welder: * Proven time served/ qualified experience as a MIG Welder / Fabricator * Comfortable welding mild steel between 2mm-20mm thickness * Experience with both butt and fillet weld runs * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (bonus) * Reliable, proactive and team-oriented attitude Desirable (Not Essential): * Fabricating and assembling parts from engineering drawings * Experience in heavy plant or heavy engineering sectors * TIG welding experience (bonus for future projects) * Welding or fabrication qualifications * FLT licence (bonus but not essential) Package summary: Location: Malton, North Yorkshire Status: Permanent (must undergo probationary period on attitude and attendance) Pay: £33,280 salary basic.
