Chemical Process Operative / Counterbalance FLT Driver - Wythenshawe £12.71 per hour, increasing to £13.05 after 12 weeks | Temporary to Permanent | Monday-Thursday 7:00am-3:30pm, Friday 7:00am-1:00pm Kinetic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Chemical Process Operative / Counterbalance FLT Driver on behalf of a well-established chemical manufacturer based in Wythenshawe. The company has nearly 100 years of industry experience and specialises in the manufacture of plastic and adhesive products. Previous experience within a chemical, process or manufacturing environment AND a valid Counterbalance FLT licence are essential for this role. This is a chemical manufacturing position, not a warehouse-only role. The successful candidate will work within the production environment, supporting manufacturing processes while safely handling raw materials and finished products. Key Responsibilities Working within a chemical manufacturing environment and following strict Health & Safety procedures. Supporting day-to-day production activities. Operating a Counterbalance FLT to safely move raw materials and finished goods. Loading and unloading vehicles using the FLT. Moving materials around the site and into the appropriate production/storage areas. Carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting as required. Following production procedures and instructions. Handling materials safely and in accordance with company procedures. Maintaining good housekeeping standards across the production area. Reporting any safety, quality or production issues to the appropriate supervisor. Working as part of a team to meet production requirements. Essential Requirements Valid Counterbalance FLT licence - essential. Previous experience working within a chemical, process or manufacturing environment - essential. Experience operating a Counterbalance FLT within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures. Comfortable working around raw materials and within an industrial/chemical production environment. Physically capable of carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting duties. Able to follow written and verbal instructions. Good communication skills. Reliable attendance and a consistent approach to work.
