My client are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team! Duties and Responsibilities SYSTEMS 1.Assist Engineering teams as part of new product introduction process to navigate part approval and sign off with customer including P.P.A.P. 2.To assist the QA Manager to ensure continued accreditation of any Quality Management Certifications that are held by the company 3.To assist QA Manager with liaison and co-ordination of activities with 3rd party certification and audit bodies. 4.To assist QA Manager with the management, maintenance and development of the Company Business Operating System, BOS, and the procedures and documents therein. 5.To conduct internal audits defined in the internal audit schedule under ISO 9001 & AS9100 QMS and ensure adherence including carrying out internal audits on both documented procedures and manufacturing processes. 6.To assist with the acquisition of new Quality Certifications for the company. 7.Lead assigned improvement activities using structured problem-solving techniques such as six sigma and 8D etc. NON CONFORMANCE MANAGEMENT 1.To act as a point of contact for customer concerns, as required. Assist the QA Manager to co-ordinate the response, corrective and preventative actions necessary to resolve any concern issues. 2.To assist the QA Manager to ensure that Internal and Supplier non-conformance 8D reports are completed to acceptable and agreed levels and implemented effectively. 3.To assist the QA Manager to monitor customer and internal non-conformance and analyse data to put forward improvements to reduce the rate of occurrence. 4.To actively promote and encourage a culture of continuous improvement. INSPECTION 1.To assist inspection of goods/services as required 2.To advise operators on good inspection practice 3.To conduct training in metrology techniques (including FARO) as required 4.Signing off of inspection reports as required 5.Supervision of inspection activity as required STANDARD RESPONSIBILITY 1.To participate in the performance management system and maintain a personal development plan. 2.To ensure the confidentiality and security of all information processed during the course of employment in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 and any subsequent legislative revisions and additions. 3.To be aware of personal responsibilities under Health and Safety regulations and attend appropriate training. To maintain Health and Safety focused projects. 4.To co-operate with risk assessments and ensure that risks are identified and reported as they arise and attend appropriate training. 5.To be aware of and adhere to policies and procedures applicable to the role. 6.To perform any reasonable duty which lies within the boundaries of your capability. 7.To comply with any and all reasonable requests made by management.
