Electrical Fitter (Winder)

Electrical Fitter/ Winder Newcastle Upon Tyne 2 Shift Pattern £18.71 per hour basic Plus shift premium Contract MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB Perform electrical fitting activities on Generator & Stator components. SCOPE OF JOB Act as an Electrical Fitter for generator assembly work. Maintain a good understanding of Generator Mechanical / Electrical works and able to demonstrate trade-specific skills for an Electrical Fitter. Follows high level instruction from the Supervisor and Manager. Review and advise all potential and actual issues related to the scope of work. Complete inspection record sheets, as requested by your supervisor, and to sign as complete and accurate. Able to work within safety guidelines and familiar with risk assessments, method statements and safe working practices. To be aware of facility processes and procedures. To undergo training when required. To support the training of other employees when required and where necessary to undergo training for such duties. Exceptional attendance record with flexible working attitude. DIMENSIONS & LIMITS OF AUTHORITY Responsible for the finished quality of products manufactured. Responsible for escalating to supervisor any quality, machine or health and safety issues. Responsible for maintaining all required documentation. Operates in accordance with all relevant current company procedures and policies. QUALIFICATIONS Time served in Electrical Fitting or equivalent NVQ level 3 qualification EXPERIENCE Electrical Fitting activities in a relevant operational service environment.
