Service Engineer

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer to join an established and growing engineering business based in Stonehaven.
This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served engineer with proven experience working with pumps and rotating equipment to join a skilled service team and work on a wide variety of equipment, ranging from multi-stage, high-pressure units through to smaller over-hung end suction pumps.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the disassembly, inspection, repair and re-assembly of various rotating equipment, primarily pumps, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Package -
Salary range in between £35,000 and £40,000 depending on experience
* Monday to Thursday
* 08:00 until 16:30
* Friday
* 07:00 until 13:30
Responsibilities -
* Disassemble, inspect and repair pumps and other rotating equipment within agreed deadlines
* Re-assemble equipment to the required standards and specifications
* Complete all work to a high standard to achieve customer satisfaction
* Assist with the preparation of technical reports in line with company standards and customer requirements
* Work in accordance with relevant industry standards and company procedures
* Accurately interpret technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals
* Diagnose equipment issues and support effective problem solving
* Prioritise workload effectively to ensure deadlines are achieved
* Work as part of a small, skilled service team
* Maintain strong product knowledge across a wide variety of pumps and rotating equipment
* Work flexibly and undertake overtime when required
The Ideal Candidate -
* Time-served Fitter/Engineer
* Proven experience working with pumps and rotating equipment
* Strong mechanical engineering background
* Able to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals accurately
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to work
* Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively to deadlines
* Ideally experienced within a service, repair or workshop environment
* Flexible approach to tasks and working hours
* Reliable and committed with a strong focus on quality
