Production Operative

Job Overview for Production Operative: We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Production Operative to join our team in DE73. This is a physically active role supporting the production and assembly of steel structures. Full training will be provided aslong as you can use basic power tools as listed below and have worked with mild steels before. Pay Rate: £12.75 per hour (£27,846 salary equivalent) Hours: Full-time, 6.30am to 4.00pm Mon to Thursday, 12:30pm early Friday finish, 42 standard hours Key Responsibilities as Production Operative: * Use of basic hand and power tools including Bench saw, Electric screwdriver (like a wheel nut gun) and tape measure * Cutting steel to size from a list * Assembling steel components using nuts and bolts * Building H-frame structures using 100mm square steel * Bolting flat plates and frames together * Assisting welders with lifting and turning products * Performing general labouring duties as required Additional requirements as Production Operative: * Previous experience in a workshop or manufacturing/ engineering workshop environment * Comfortable with physical work and manual handling * Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team * Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools * Reliable and punctual * Full on-the-job training provided * Health & Safety and manual handling training included * T+1/2 overtime Fridays may be available at times if you want it Pay Rate: £12.75 per hour (£27,846 salary equivalent) Hours: Full-time, 6.30am to 4.00pm Mon to Thursday, 12:30pm early Friday finish, 42 standard hours Start Date: ASAP, 18weeks temp to perm If you have experience with power tools, labouring in a fast paced, engineering, manufacturing or fabrication facility before and have worked as a General Labourer, Semi Skilled Engineer, Production Worker or other similar roles to Production Operative, please click apply.
