Fabrication Operative

Fabrication Operative Location: Bradford BD4 Hours: Monday to Thursday - 37.5 hours per week Hourly Pay: £12.60 Temporary to Christmas but may be extended depending on workload Fabrication Operative Role Overview We are seeking a hands-on Fabrication Operative to support post-weld finishing and packaging operations. The role involves fettling and cleaning welded components to meet quality standards, followed by safe palletising for dispatch or internal movement. This is a semi-skilled role and training will be provided. Fabrication Operative Key Responsibilities * Clean and smooth weld seams to ensure compliance with visual and dimensional standards using hand tools, grinders, and other equipment * Inspect finished parts for burrs, sharp edges, and surface defects * Operate safely, adhering to H&S protocols * Palletise cleaned components securely for transport or storage * Report any defects, hazards, or equipment issues to the supervisor Fabrication Operative Requirements * Previous experience in fabrication, fettling, or metal finishing * Confident using grinders, sanders, and hand tools * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ideal Fabrication Operative Candidate Reliable and punctual with a proactive work ethic Able to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team To be considered for this role, you will have to complete a set of video interview questions prior to being submitted.
