Press Brake Operator

My client is currently looking for a Press Break Operator to join an innovative, established business on a temporary to permanent basis, based in Birtley. This is working on a rotating shift pattern of days and afternoons. You must be able to do both shifts. You will also get a pay rise once you go permanent. Morning shift - Monday to Friday 06:00 until 12:00 £12.71 per hour Afternoon shift - Monday to Friday 14:00 until 20:00 £14.83 per hour Responsibilities - * Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend and form metal components * Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications * Select appropriate tooling and adjust machine settings accordingly * Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet required standards * Work with a range of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium * Maintain a clean and safe working environment * Work to production targets and deadlines Requirements * Previous experience operating press brake machinery (essential) * Ability to read and understand technical / engineering drawings * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality * Good understanding of health & safety within a manufacturing environment * Ability to work independently and as part of a team Kinetic plc is a Recruitment Consultancy with over 40 years' experience delivering staffing solutions to the engineering, manufacturing and technical industries.
