Senior Process Engineer

Our client, based in the Flintshire area, are looking for a Senior Process Engineer.
This is a permanent role on days paying up to 65k per annum. They may also consider a more mid-level Process Engineer, which would pay around the 50-55k mark.
This role would sit between 2 Mid-level Process Engineers and the Engineering Manager. You would need to be very conversant with PLCs, be able to make tweaks to programs to optimise production, whilst ideally also having a strong background in robotics/automation, as there is good scope for more automation on site.
OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
Responsibilities:
* Carry out analysis of downtime, leading to development of improvement activities, to reduce downtime and increase throughput.
* Analyse historical production data and provide trend analysis of production processes and failures.
* Development of Key Action Plans to make permanent corrective process actions to provide solutions.
* Work closely with production teams to understand barriers to performance and develop improvement actions to increase production levels.
* Understand and devise continuous improvement and problem-solving methods to optimise machine availability and productivity.
* Apply appropriate use of statistical techniques and analysis.
* Optimising existing production equipment & improving overall quality.
* Development & commissioning of control system solutions & technical support.
Qualifications/ Experience:
* Five+ years' experience in process control, programming and control systems.
* PLC & HMI Programming knowledge.
* Knowledge of Process Control Systems, Robotics, Automation and Instrumentation.
* Proven track record of continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
* Minimum HNC in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Control Engineering, or Mechatronics).
* Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, (SCADA) and Structured Query Language (SQL).
* Data Analysis Familiarity with Statistical analysis and process optimisation tools (Six Sigma, Design of Experiment (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC)
