Press Brake Operative

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operative in with experience in both one-off and batch production to join a busy fabrication workshop. You'll be working from technical drawings to produce precision components for extraction systems, paint booths, and associated assemblies. Role: Press Brake Operative Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 16:00, Friday 07:00 to 12:00 Hourly Pay: £14.00 Location: Commutable distance of LS25 Press Brake Operative Key Responsibilities * Set and operate a range of press brake tools (up to 100 Tonne capacity) * Configure panels for cutting and folding based on engineering drawings * Set and operate CNC fibre line cutting machines * Align programs with drawings and templates to ensure accurate cuts Press Brake Operative General Duties * Interpret technical drawings to extract dimensions and settings * Work with stainless steel, mild steel, and other materials * Ensure high-quality finishes and dimensional accuracy * Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to meet production targets Press Brake Operative Ideal Candidate * Proven experience in a press/sheet metal shop environment * Competent in reading and working from engineering drawings * Skilled in both one-off and batch production setups * Familiar with workshop safety and fabrication standards * Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team If you are an experienced Press Brake Operative, press 'APPLY' now to be considered.
