We are looking to recruit a CNC Miller Programmer to join the Machining Shop Team. CNC Miller Programmer Role
Reporting to the Value Stream leader and working in a fast paced environment with a highly motivated team, you will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to multi-task and work to a high standard within tight deadlines. You will be responsible for programming and machining our products, whilst ensuring the quality of each part is of the highest standard expected by the Company.
CNC Miller Programmer Responsibilities
Programme and operate 5-axis CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications ensuring they are safe to run and correctly formatted for operation
Develop and optimise CNC programmes using CAM software
Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet expected quality standards
Troubleshoot and resolve any machining or programming issues
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to interpret technical drawings
Mentoring team apprentice ensuring the are fully supported with expertise on their development journey
Cover for annual leave or sickness as an operator on the CNC machines
Always ensuring adherence to Health and Safety requirements and maintaining a safe and clean environment
Machining Technican Key Skills
Proficient in the programming and operating of 5-axis machines to produce safe and efficient tool paths
Ability to work to precise tolerances and measurements with excellent eye for detail
Solid understanding of CAM software and G-code programming
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong IT skills with experience of using Microsoft Office applications
Experience of quality assurance inspection with precision measurement tools
Strong problem solving skills
Able to following verbal and written instructions accurately
Good communication skills
Fun, team player who is helpful, flexible ad cooperative yet also able to work independently
Tebis CAD/CAM Trim trained and FARO CAM20 would be advantageous
