Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (ELECTRICAL BIAS)

Our client, a leading manufacturing company in Tameside, require an Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer. This is a permanent position working on days (8am-5pm whilst shadowing Mechanical Engineer before moving to a later shift of 11am-7pm) paying up to 45k per annum. Initially you would be brought in on a DAYS basis but there is a likelihood that the role will move to 6-2/2-10pm shift in the future. Our client are looking for someone with a solid manufacturing background, who is electrically trained but ideally has some mechanical maintenance experience, as the majority of breakdowns are of a mechanical nature. Requirements: To be considered for the role the following experience/skills is required; * Fully Time Served Electrician. * Strong manufacturing background. * PLC fault finding experience. * Good Mechanical maintenance experience. * Responsible for maintaining engineering stores & parts & work to continual improvement of the PM system. * Flexible, proactive, able to manage own workloads and work closely with the Mechanical & Engineers on site & also the Production Managers. Duties: * Maintenance of Mechanical & Electrical production machinery. * Ensuring the organisation complies with safety regulations while maintenance takes place. * Calibration of equipment and system components. * Servicing and refurbishing old machinery. * Mechanical and electrical assembly. * Inspection of machine parts. * Machine diagnostics. Additional: * Overtime available @ T1/2. * Possibility of progression to senior management position in 12 months' time. * Working for well-established family run business.
